Kristy Yang Kung-yu

Kristy Yang Kung-yu was born in Shanghai in 1974, and completed her studies at York University in Canada. Upon graduation, Yang returned to Hong Kong and won the Miss Asia Pageant, and began a career in the entertainment world. She became a contract television actress under ATV, and has appeared in a number of television dramas including My Date With A Vampire and Flaming Brothers.

Yang has since embarked on a career in film, and her debut performance was director Peter Chan Ho-sun's Comrades, Almost A Love Story co-starring Leon Lai Ming and Maggie Cheung Man-yuk. Yang cultivated a 'girl-next-door' image in her film roles, and she later signed a contract with Manfred Wong's agent company.

She went on to star in the blockbusters Stormriders and A Man Called Hero directed by Andrew Lau Wai-keung, and co-starred with Stephen Chow and Sammi Cheung Sau-man in The Lucky Guy. Yang's film credits also include Love Cruise, Portland Street Blues, Rules Of The Game, Fall For You, IQ Dudettes, The Duel, For Bad Boys Only, City of Desire and The Avenging Fist.
